What is CAOS?
For 16 years Cambridgeport Artists Open Studios has been an annual autumn presentation of artists Cambridge, MA.
This year we are transitioning to a city wide event run by the Cambridge Arts Council in conjunction with neighborhood groups. We will reappear in Spring 2009.
Who is CAOS?
A surprising number of artists have made this neighborhood home and workplace. CAOS is an opportunity to visit artists in their workspaces. Artists of all levels participate in open studios. For some, it is a first showing, For others, it is an opportunity to show work they might not show in a gallery--experiments and explorations. For all of us it is an opportunity to make connections.
Any visual or performing artist who lives or works in Cambridge may participate.
We are assisted by the City of Cambridge through the Cambridge Arts Council, and many local businesses.
