| Since childhood I was facinated by the universal cultural phenomenon of masks. Growing up in the Dominican Republic, with its influence of carnival masks, I learned the painstaking method of fashioning lightweight, papier mache features of horned revelers and have developed my own, sometimes whimsical, versions of these often imposing personae.
